Time & Location
Oct 13, 2026, 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM
Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 1400 Killian Hill Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047, USA
About the event
For babies born between May and August 2026.
A small group learning series that provides support and connection in the months after birth. Registration includes Annual MESH moms membership.
Postpartum Pods are limited to 8 mom/baby pairs and are facilitated by an experienced Postpartum Doula and different subject matter experts.
Postpartum Pods create an intimate cohort of mothers with same-age babies. You’ll get specific guidance around developmental milestones, regulating your baby’s sleep routine, breast and bottle feeding, separation anxiety, maternal identity, and so much more! The most valuable benefit of our Postpartum Pods may simply be being seen by others going through this exciting but at times overwhelming phase of life and developing strong bonds with other moms... But you’ll also learn how to mindfully navigate the first few months of your child’s life, as well as gain resources to help you and your little one develop ongoing confidence and joy.
You will also be able to join our Pod-only WhatsApp group. Within this group, you’ll connect with the other pod participants and our Postpartum doula, receiving ongoing advice and unwavering support throughout the pod’s duration. Even after your pod concludes, this platform remains accessible, fostering ongoing connections with fellow moms.
Meeting dates:
Every Tuesday for 6 weeks: October 13, 20, 27, and November 3, 10, 17.
Your pod will be led by:
Elena Beck

Elena is a postpartum doula, with 15 years experience as a nanny supporting families through major transitions and sibling adjustment. She believes postpartum care benefits the whole family as they adjust to life with a new baby.
Elena is a mother of two boys, both born via C-section. Her recovery experiences taught her how challenging it can be for first-time moms who prepared for a natural birth, but experienced something else. She's dedicated to education and building community for new and expecting parents.
Your other experts are:
Dr. Ikraan Sheekh Nuur, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy | Certified Dry Needling Therapist

Dr. Ikraan Sheekh Nuur, PT, DPT, is a Physical Therapist at FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers – Tucker. Originally from Somalia, she grew up in Saudi Arabia before moving to the United States in 2010. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Ithaca College in 2024.
Ikraan’s journey into physical therapy began by accompanying her mother to appointments and serving as her translator. Witnessing firsthand the impact that compassionate care and clear communication can have on a patient’s experience left a lasting impression and ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Her clinical interests include sports rehabilitation, pelvic floor therapy, and working with older adults. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients, learning their stories, and helping them reconnect with their bodies while finding the motivation to achieve their health and wellness goals.
Ikraan is certified in Dry Needling (DN 1 and 2) and has completed pelvic floor training through Herman & Wallace, with plans to continue advancing her expertise in this specialty area. She is also working toward becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
Outside of the clinic, Ikraan enjoys running, strength training, traveling, exploring new places, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
