About the event
For babies born between January and March 2025
A small group learning series that provides support and connection in the months after birth. Registration includes Annual MESH moms membership.Postpartum Pods are limited to 8 mom/baby pairs and are facilitated by an experienced Postpartum Doula and different subject matter experts.
Postpartum Pods create an intimate cohort of mothers with same-age babies. You’ll get specific guidance around developmental milestones, regulating your baby’s sleep routine, breast and bottle feeding, separation anxiety, maternal identity, and so much more! The most valuable benefit of our Postpartum Pods may simply be being seen by others going through this exciting but at times overwhelming phase of life and developing strong bonds with other moms... But you’ll also learn how to mindfully navigate the first few months of your child’s life, as well as gain resources to help you and your little one develop ongoing confidence and joy.
You will also be able to join our Pod-only WhatsApp group. Within this group, you’ll connect with the other pod participants and our Postpartum doula, receiving ongoing advice and unwavering support throughout the pod’s duration. Even after your pod concludes, this platform remains accessible, fostering ongoing connections with fellow moms.
Meeting dates: Every Friday for 6 weeks: April 18, 25 and May 2, 9, 16, 23. The 7th group session with our Postpartum Doula will take place three months after the completion of the Postpartum Pod.
Your pod will be led by:
Lauren Swanson

I’m Lauren, a postpartum doula, mom to three wonderful kids, and someone who knows firsthand the challenges and beauty of the postpartum journey. After experiencing postpartum depression with my own children, I felt the deep need to help other moms feel truly supported, heard, and cared for in those crucial early months. I know how isolating and overwhelming postpartum can be, and I’m here to provide a compassionate hand, a listening ear, and resources that make a real difference.
In addition to my work as a doula, I love spending time in the great outdoors! Whether I’m camping, playing a game of tennis, or hiking with my family, I find so much joy and renewal in nature, and I believe that every mom deserves the space and support to reconnect with herself.
Your other expert speakers are:
Leigh-Anne Skinner, BSN IBCLC

With a background as a postpartum nurse, I love using that experience to support the families I work with. My approach is all about teamwork, compassion, and truly listening to each family’s unique story. I believe in meeting parents where they are, providing care that’s not only personalized but also practical and empowering. My goal is to help parents feel confident and supported every step of the way. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, cooking, and curling up with a good book alongside my two Great Danes, Louis and Willow.
