About the event

For babies born between August and October 2026

A small-group program that provides guidance, connection, and support during the postpartum period — combining expert insight with a strong sense of community for new moms.

Postpartum Pods are limited to 10 mom/baby pairs and are facilitated by an experienced Postpartum Doula and different subject matter experts.

Postpartum Pods create an intimate cohort of mothers with same-age babies. You’ll get specific guidance around developmental milestones, regulating your baby’s sleep routine, breast and bottle feeding, separation anxiety, maternal identity, and so much more! The most valuable benefit of our Postpartum Pods may simply be being seen by others going through this exciting but at times overwhelming phase of life and developing strong bonds with other moms... But you’ll also learn how to mindfully navigate the first few months of your child’s life, as well as gain resources to help you and your little one develop ongoing confidence and joy.

You will also be able to join our Pod-only WhatsApp group. Within this group, you’ll connect with the other pod participants and our Postpartum doula, receiving ongoing advice and unwavering support throughout the pod’s duration. Even after your pod concludes, this platform remains accessible, fostering ongoing connections with fellow moms.

Meeting dates:

Every Friday for 6 weeks: October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; November 6

Your pod will be led by:

Jess Brown from Honeybee Village Birth Services

Jess is a postpartum doula, postpartum planner, educator, mama of two, and founder of Honeybee Village Birth Services.

She started Honeybee Village with one vision: no parent should have to navigate new parenthood alone. Her journey as a NICU parent, exclusive pumper, and VBAC mama has deeply shaped the way she supports families today. Combined with her training in perinatal mental health, newborn care, and doula support, Jess brings both lived experience and evidence-based guidance to the families she serves.

As the host of this postpartum pod, Jess aims to recreate that same sense of village — a space where parents can feel seen, supported, and reminded that they are more prepared than they think.

Your other expert speakers are:

Heather Goodbread, IBCLC, Infant Sleep Educator, and Postpartum Doula

Heather Goodbread is an IBCLC, Infant Sleep Educator, and Postpartum Doula.

Dr. Rachael Brewer, PT, DPT, PCES, Cert. DN

Dr. Rachael Brewer, PT, DPT, PCES, Cert. DN, was inspired to focus on pelvic health after seeing a family member struggle with severe pelvic pain postpartum. This experience fueled her mission to raise awareness of often-taboo pelvic health topics and support those facing pelvic floor conditions.

She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia Southern University and has advanced training in pelvic health, including multiple certifications through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist certification, pessary fitting, and men’s pelvic health.

Dr. Rachael combines hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, patient education, and personalized home programs to treat conditions such as dyspareunia, interstitial cystitis, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and pelvic pain. Her priority is creating a safe, judgment-free space for all patients.

Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors, working out with her husband, and exploring local farmers’ markets.
