About the event

For babies born between January and April 2026

A small-group program that provides guidance, connection, and support during the postpartum period — combining expert insight with a strong sense of community for new moms.

Postpartum Pods are limited to 10 mom/baby pairs and are facilitated by an experienced Postpartum Doula and different subject matter experts.

Postpartum Pods create an intimate cohort of mothers with same-age babies. You’ll get specific guidance around developmental milestones, regulating your baby’s sleep routine, breast and bottle feeding, separation anxiety, maternal identity, and so much more! The most valuable benefit of our Postpartum Pods may simply be being seen by others going through this exciting but at times overwhelming phase of life and developing strong bonds with other moms... But you’ll also learn how to mindfully navigate the first few months of your child’s life, as well as gain resources to help you and your little one develop ongoing confidence and joy.

You will also be able to join our Pod-only WhatsApp group. Within this group, you’ll connect with the other pod participants and our Postpartum doula, receiving ongoing advice and unwavering support throughout the pod’s duration. Even after your pod concludes, this platform remains accessible, fostering ongoing connections with fellow moms.

Meeting dates:

Every Friday for 6 weeks: April 17, 24 and May 1, 8, 15, and 22

Your pod will be led by:

Jess Brown from Honeybee Village Birth Services

Jess is a postpartum doula, postpartum planner, educator, mama of two, and founder of Honeybee Village Birth Services.

She started Honeybee Village with one vision: no parent should have to navigate new parenthood alone. Her journey as a NICU parent, exclusive pumper, and VBAC mama has deeply shaped the way she supports families today. Combined with her training in perinatal mental health, newborn care, and doula support, Jess brings both lived experience and evidence-based guidance to the families she serves.

As the host of this postpartum pod, Jess aims to recreate that same sense of village — a space where parents can feel seen, supported, and reminded that they are more prepared than they think.

Your other expert speakers are:

Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and their dog, Decker, as well as exploring local coffee shops and savoring crisp fall mornings.

Alyssa Rives, Momumental Physical Therapy & Performance

Dr. Alyssa Rives, owner of Momumental Physical Therapy & Performance, is a pelvic floor physical therapist specializing in treating women through pregnancy, postpartum, and all stages of motherhood. Momumental was born from her own two birth experiences: one that left her feeling unprepared and disconnected, and a second that was peaceful, empowering, and redeeming. That contrast fuels her passion for helping moms feel informed, supported, and strong in their own journeys. Alyssa works with moms who are preparing for birth, recovering from delivery, or looking to return to physical activity or fitness with confidence. She helps women build strength, reconnect with their bodies, and move without leaking, fear, or pain. With a background in athletics and sport performance training, she blends pelvic floor rehabilitation with strength and conditioning to help moms feel capable, resilient, and like themselves again.
