About the event

ABOUT CARRY STRONG

Carry Strong is a 60-minute babywearing strength class for moms and their babies, held at PERFORM in Matthews, NC. Your little one rides along in a carrier as your resistance during the strength portion of class — we finish with a walk to downtown Matthews together.

Classes are beginner friendly, capped at 10 participants, and built around functional movements that carry over directly to life as a parent. No childcare needed. No experience required. If your baby is fussy or needs to feed, you're in a room full of people who completely get it.

What to bring: a front or back carrier (structured, wrap, or ring — whatever you're most comfortable in), a blanket for baby, a water bottle, and a stroller for the walk at the end.

ABOUT CASSIDY (Instructor)

Cassidy is a co-founder of PERFORM, a cyclist, and former basketball player who has spent over a decade in fitness - 8 years as a spin instructor, 6 years as a personal trainer, 4 years coaching group strength training, and 3 seasons coaching high school girls basketball. She knows what it looks like to build real athletes, and she knows what it looks like when the fitness industry fails people who deserve better.

She had her son Walker in November. Her own postpartum recovery took longer than expected and she wasn't cleared to exercise until 14 weeks and has been through months of physical therapy. When she looked for a fitness class that actually fit this season of her life, she couldn't find one. So she built it.
