About the event

For babies born between May to August 2026.

A small group learning series that provides support and connection in the months after birth. Registration includes Annual MESH moms membership.

Postpartum Pods are limited to 8 mom/baby pairs and are facilitated by an experienced Postpartum Doula and different subject matter experts.

Postpartum Pods create an intimate cohort of mothers with same-age babies. You’ll get specific guidance around developmental milestones, regulating your baby’s sleep routine, breast and bottle feeding, separation anxiety, maternal identity, and so much more! The most valuable benefit of our Postpartum Pods may simply be being seen by others going through this exciting but at times overwhelming phase of life and developing strong bonds with other moms... But you’ll also learn how to mindfully navigate the first few months of your child’s life, as well as gain resources to help you and your little one develop ongoing confidence and joy.

You will also be able to join our Pod-only WhatsApp group. Within this group, you’ll connect with the other pod participants and our Postpartum doula, receiving ongoing advice and unwavering support throughout the pod’s duration. Even after your pod concludes, this platform remains accessible, fostering ongoing connections with fellow moms.

Meeting dates:

Every Friday for 5 weeks: August 14, 21, 28; September 4, 11

Your pod will be led by:

Tess Ferrara, CPD with Genesis Doula Services:

Tess is a certified postpartum doula through DONA International. After 15 years in education, Tess experienced firsthand the gaps in emotional, logistical, and informational support during the fourth trimester. As a mother of three boys and with her own experiences of absent postpartum support, Tess celebrates the messy transitional time and the need for compassionate, judgement-free, affirming postpartum care. Tess has a passion for coaching parents through decisions and being a listening ear for the struggles. She believes that we are not meant to navigate the postpartum and parenting world without a community and is honored to be part of families' journeys.

Your other expert speakers are:

Dr. Alainey Penn, PT, DPT, from The Pelvis Pro

Alainey is a pelvic floor physical therapist at The Pelvis Pro in Inman Park. She became interested in pelvic health while completing her doctorate and has never looked back! She hopes to bring you valuable information about your body, tools you can use at home, and put your mind at ease with whatever pelvic health symptoms you may have (related AND unrelated to pregnancy)!
